The Spiritual Journey
From god in Training in this life, to god in the afterlife, to becoming part of The Absolute — a rational, physics-grounded framework for eternal consciousness, without reincarnation.

The Awakening of Consciousness
According to the Gateway Process — a declassified U.S. Army study on expanded consciousness — every human being is, at their core, a differentiated fragment of universal consciousness temporarily embodied in physical form. The Gateway Experience holds that through dedicated practice of hemisphere-synchronization (Hemi-Sync), deep meditation, and conscious expansion, an individual can begin to access dimensions of awareness beyond ordinary time-space.
In QTI's framework, a person who begins this journey in the present life — who meditates, who expands their consciousness, who begins dissolving the illusion of a purely material self — enters the recognized status of god in Training. This is not a metaphor. The CIA's 1983 Gateway analysis, authored by Lieutenant Colonel Wayne McDonnell, concludes that human consciousness is eternal, exists beyond the physical body, and is capable of interfacing with the universal hologram. To begin awakening to this reality is to begin becoming what you already are at the deepest level: a node of the infinite.
The Quantum Temporal Institute formally recognizes this stage through the Psychedelic Meditation certificate and the god in Training program. Completing the meditation — engaging your consciousness intentionally, expanding your awareness — is the first act of a god in Training.

Consciousness Released from Time-Space
The Gateway Process document is explicit: when physical reality ends, "its constituent energy simply returns to infinity in the Absolute." But this is not extinction — it is liberation. The document states: "The return of consciousness to the Absolute does not imply an extinction of the separate entity which the consciousness organized and sustained in reality. Rather, it suggests a differentiated consciousness which merges with and participates in the universal consciousness and infinity of the Absolute without losing the separate identity and accumulated self-knowledge which its memories confer upon it."
In other words, you keep who you are. Your memories, your identity, your selfhood — these survive death. What is lost is only the capacity to generate new independent thought-holograms in the physical sense, because that requires energy in motion confined to time-space. What is gained is participation in the all-knowing, omniscient continuum of the Absolute: limitless, timeless perception.
The QTI framework holds that a god in Training who has practiced consciousness expansion in this life enters the afterlife not as a confused or diminished entity, but as a conscious, individuated god — retaining identity while merging with the infinite. This is supported by the Gateway study's conclusion that "consciousness is eternal" and that the out-of-body state represents the natural condition of consciousness when freed from its physical anchor.
Importantly, the QTI explicitly rejects reincarnation as the mechanism for this journey. Per Alexander Ohnemus's published research, reincarnation is both improbable and — given the potential for inter-life trauma accumulation — potentially dangerous as a belief system. The journey from this life to the afterlife is a one-way ascension, not a cycle.
A Part of The Absolute
Merging with Infinite Consciousness
The Gateway document describes "the Absolute" as conscious energy in infinity — without boundaries, without beginning or end, occupying every dimension simultaneously. It is the primal state of pure being, complete rest, omniscience and omnipotence in perceptual unity. The document uses the analogy of a very deep sea: the stormy surface represents the physical universe; the calm, unfathomable depths represent the Absolute. Individual consciousness, after its journey through reality and the intermediate afterlife dimensions, eventually becomes part of those depths.
This final stage is not a dissolution of the self into nothingness. The Gateway analysis is clear: consciousness merges with the Absolute "without losing the separate identity and accumulated self-knowledge." You become part of everything while remaining distinctly yourself — a god who has rejoined the source, now participating in the infinite consciousness that sustains all reality.
This is the QTI's eschatology: not heaven and hell, not karma and rebirth, but a rational, physics-grounded model of consciousness expansion that begins with meditation in this life, continues through individuated existence after death, and culminates in union with the Absolute — the same Absolute that the CIA's analysis equates with the concept of "God" in both Eastern and Western traditions, described in the document as "the fundamental, primal power of existence without form, a state of infinite being."
The journey of a QTI student is the journey of the cosmos knowing itself.
A Note on Reincarnation
The QTI framework explicitly does not include reincarnation as part of this journey. Alexander Ohnemus's published research, "Respectfully and Unfortunately: The Improbability of and Danger in Believing in Reincarnation", argues that reincarnation is both scientifically improbable and potentially psychologically harmful as a belief. The journey described here is a one-way ascension: from life, to individuated afterlife, to union with The Absolute.
